Red Rocks has been awarded the LIANZA 2013 Esther Glen Medal, which was established in 1945, and is “offered annually to the author of the book which is considered to be the most distinguished contribution to literature for children aged 0-15, by an author who is a citizen or resident of New Zealand.”
Rachael’s brother, notable film-maker Jonathan King (Black Sheep, Under the Mountain), has made a weird and wonderful book trailer for Red Rocks. It is as delightfully spooky as the book itself. You can watch it on You Tube.
